NO B.S. TURNKEY 1946 C-140 • $43,500 • FLY RIGHT NOW • TTAF: 2972 SMOH: 727 Compressions: 78/80, 78/80, 76/80, 78/80. Airplane flies weekly. $13K annual in February, replaced cracked rear bulkhead (new Cessna part), rebuilt Stromberg carburetor, new Maule tailwheel and springs, and resolved many other discrepancies. Excellent, complete logs, ADs and 337s all good. Stratus ADSB in/out. Spin on oil filter. Burns 1 qt oil every 12-14 hours. Fabric 9/10. Zero corrosion. Original wheel pants in excellent condition. This plane is good to go and I will miss her, but my mission has changed.

Nice airplane!

Pre-Covid these were about 25k?

That is three times what I paid for mine and is completely unaffordable, but it sure is nice!

Nice pic at first flight, with the monument in the background.

Work done at the best shop around, but they are pricy. You get what you pay for. Our club sent several repairs there, always completely satisfied with quality of work, and time to complete.

The pre buy should have no issues.

Nice
a plane like that would be fun, but I'd hate to tie an old classic ragwing down outside....and with no hangars available around here I don't even daydream about it.....

Pet peeve.....why do folks write stuff like "Zero Corrosion" in an add? You know good and well there is corrosion on pretty much any used airplane ...and on this one I can see corrosion right there on the yokes!!!

Just trying to learn, I dont see in the pics how it came up to be a 13k annual. Not being a jerk, really just interested in learning. Was it the bulkhead part?

Yes, IIRC the bulkhead was a few AMU and so was the bulkhead labor.
