You must not have it set to delete after so long. Besides, are you referring to an actual Tivo box or a Media Center box?
I have a HP Z556 with XP MCE and love it. It does everything but record HD off of cable. I can put up an OTA antenna and get one channel at a time but I'm happy with the quality it records in for now. The best part... I don't have to pay any fees to access a TV guide and program it for what I want. That's the part that makes any DVR with a cable company really suck. Cable is expensive enough and it's going to go up again just because they are going to offer more HD channels. Never mind that will be the standard in a couple years.
