garage cars workshop

I’m planning on building a 28x40 2-bay garage to store and wrench on my vehicles. Planning is at the concept stage and I’m looking for some ideas or lessons learned from people who have built a garage and said to themselves either: “really glad I did that”, or “wish I had done that”. Thanks!
