    Never to old to fly

Took my friend Harry flying today in a RV7. Harry was a WWII fighter pilot and instructor and flew privately into his 80s. He did a beautiful job flying the RV. Here is my favorite picture. Notice the view out the top of the canopy. Harry will be 100 on August 21.

    A-26 nosegear faiure at Oshkosh

My friend John Lane was flying this A-26 at Oshkosh on Monday 7-26 when something broke on the nosegear extension system and left it swinging in the breeze. Great video of the landing and he did a great job keeping it on the runway. Don

    Kimberlyanne

Anyone know what happened to Kimberlyanne546. She was very gung ho and had several thousand posts and then just dropped of the radar in 2014. Liked following her adventures and seeing someone progress from student to confident pilot. Don

Flew Zenith CH750 N641K this morning for its maiden flight. Has a UL power UL350si engine that performed great, very smooth. Few small trim bugs but otherwise uneventful. This is the 13 homebuilt airplane i have done the first flight on. Don

New RV 12 in the air

I had the honor of doing the first flight of a friend's RV12 today. All went well and it performed great. Just needed a little right rudder trim and prop pitch adjustment. This was the first RV 12 I have flown (I like it) and 11th first flight on a homebuilt I've done. Don

Tougher than a tornado Husky down AGAIN!

The AOPA tougher than a Tornado Husky is down for a third time and probably out. The owner from Idaho dropped it in last year and got the left wing and gear. It was rebuilt and sold to a guy in Arizona who rolled it up in a ball on take off a few weeks ago. I don't think I would want to own it...

    Owyhee Canyon Idaho/Oregon

My partner in the Cub had local Nampa pilot Joe Dory in the backseat show him the Owyhee canyon. I'll want to get over there in the next couple of weeks and do the same flight. Not flying for the faint of heart. Don More at http://www.photobucket.com/owyhee
