I've been looking at Aviation Seminars and America Flyers IFR weekend ground school. Does anybody have any experience with them or other schools? I don't want to learn just the answers to the test, but is a 2-3 day class enough time to learn the information so I can retain it?
So I'm going to be medically grounded for at least 6 more months, and will be off work for most of that time recovering. Any pro's and con's for starting to study for an instrument ratings if I won't be able to apply the knowledge anytime soon? I'm sort of afraid of not retaining the info if I...
Really? A picture of a 170 for a story about an airliner!!!!

Anybody have experience with an M-4? This one has my curiosity. I have a tailwheel endorsement already, and this would fit about 90% of my flying right now.

I think there is about to be some bush justice by the owners of these planes.
So I'm now 10 minutes listening to crappy music waiting for the receptionist to get back to me. Stupid me for saying I can wait, I guess. So has anybody told the person answering the phone that they can't be placed on hold? What happened?
So I wrecked my Grand Cherokee over the weekend. Waiting to hear back from the adjustor to see if it's totalled or not. Sort of hope it is so I can get another car. Loved my Jeep, but I think it's cursed. So does anybody have experience with a Ford Edge?
So the wife gave her blessing to upgrade from the 150 or buy a new truck. Think I'm going to go with a plane upgrade. I even have an interested party to purchase it! Now the question is what do I upgrade to? A 172 will fit my needs just fine, but a Mooney M20C seems like it will give me more...
Wife told me yesterday I'm going to have a little co-pilot in 8 months:D. But she decided to get pregnant so she is due mid-week of Airventure next year:mad2:. I'll hold off with the aircraft upgrade thread for now (I'm thinking of selling off the naming rights to my child to offset the cost)...
So last month I contacted AOPA (by email) to voice concerns I had with them, and to cancel my membership. I didn't hear a peep from them, even though the auto-reply email I received from them told me I would be contacted within 2-3 business days. So 2 weeks later I emailed them again. Nothing...
So I have been tossing around the idea of putting together a small survival kit. Nothing too crazy; knife, flashlight/batteries, chem lights, emergency space blanket, tarp, fire starter, parachute cord. Then I found this...
Anybody else seen it yet? My wife and I were the only people in the theater today without kids watching it. It was pretty good. I think I liked it better than the first one.
In this day with GA dying, we really don't need idiots like this making the news.
