    Supreme Court: Chevron Deference

In my professional experience, across a number of industries, this is exactly the problem.

    Juneau Airport (rant)

It’s Alaska not California. You’re lucky they even had a parking lot. The whole point of Alaska is you take of yourself and everybody leaves you alone. I bet the guy behind you had a flamethrower he built in his shed for just such an occasion. I’m mostly kidding and I’m sorry you had to deal...

    Anyone buying a Rivian?

Not for me. I've owned an EV for the last nine years and the only reason why is because an EV is way more practical, useful and convenient than an internal combustion engine powered car. And I'm happy to pay a premium for that because it is worth it.

    Plane Bubble

It’s too close to the end of the year and the depreciation games that go along with it to get a sense of where aircraft prices are headed. Give it until March or April. But I’m pretty sure peak prices were this past April because that’s when I purchased a plane and the low point will be in...

    Delta Airlines SkyMiles use questions

You plan on returning on your ticket but your GF isn't going to and instead will fly on a one way ticket on a different day to someplace else? Also on Delta? If that's the scenario, I can't imaging that being an issue. I have 2 million plus miles on Delta and have been a Diamond or Platinum...

    Coddled college kids

I dropped my 18 year old daughter off at a well respected Boston college last week. All her stuff fit within Delta's checked baggage limits. I have every confidence she will overcome life's challenges and find a way to steamroll anyone that get's in her way. She can change a tire and operate an...

    I need radial engine parts

OK this one is totally off the wall. I am working with a business called Radial. Over the course of the last six years certain members of that firm have gone above and beyond and deserve recognition. I was thinking maybe giving them clean parts from a radial engine as part of an award ceremony...

What is your daily use car

When this thread started I was driving a Tesla Model S. Still driving the same car 95,000 miles later. Another 12 years and it'll finally be cheaper than an equivalent gas powered car. :D

Would this be a good first jet for a pilot like me?

If those are engines on the outside of the wings, then I'd say no as a first jet. A failure would create a lot of adverse yaw that would be a handful for an inexperienced pilot. I'd think you would want something closer to centerline thrust. An Eclipse perhaps? When you find out what it is...

    Tesla Model 3 - Finally.

Does that mean I can no longer charge my 2014 Model S for free? I'm the original owner. That would **** me off as a matter of honor. In 90,000 miles I have used a supercharger exactly twice. Why? Because EVs are not meant to be taken on road trips unless the trip is the mission and not the...

Okay, call me sexist, rascist, homophobe, xenophobe........

If you want to know the other side of the story, “How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming” is a great book about why Pluto was cancelled.

    “You Can’t Terminate FF”

Cancelled or not cancelled, you have to obey an ATC instruction, unless it’s an emergency. So once you start talking to ATC you can’t ignore what they are telling you to do or cancel your way out of it.

    Asset-Based Lenders

    KC-46 Camera still having issues

The KC-46 strikes me as the perfect example of fraud, waste and incompetence that is the defense industry. Based on a perfectly good already flying aircraft it's been 20 years and the thing still isn't right. That's the equivalent of the B-29, originally conceived of in 1939 being put in service...
