    EAB and ADS-B out

Just wondering, are EABs going to be stuck buying the same TSOed ADS-B equipment as the type certificated market? I'm working up a cost sheet for a possible future build but I'm squarely in airspace that will require it. Edited for greater clarity

    "Couples" counseling

Ok, pardon my ignorance but I want to make sure all ducks stay in line. I would imagine that the counseling that Angie and I must take before we can be married her church is a FAA non event as it will be taken with clergy not a doctor. Am I right or way off base here?

    Cruise altitudes at work

Flew to HLG and back today to pick up a couple dogs for a local greyhound rescue. Cruising east bound at 7500 I got a great demonstration vertical separation. TIS went off before I picked up the cessna retract coming strait at me head on, but at 8,000 ft. Guess he was IFR

    Chart error

So, anyway to report errors on the carts? found a humors one at KHLG, On the sectional chart it is KHLG, but the Pitsburg TAC shows KHGL. Zooming in and out on Foreflight is amusing as you can watch the name change as it toggles between the sectional and the TAC:lol:

    School me on the Sonex

So for a long time I have had a hankering for something small and cheap to supplement the 182, I've posted on this before. #1 priority is folding or quick removable wings as if I have to pay to store another plane the whole thing goes out the window. As such the Onex has caught my eye as I...

    Precautionary landing question

Yesterday I was flying along fat dumb and happy, but while keeping an eye out for a place to set down if the engine died I started to wonder what I would do if I suffered a partial engine failure. Now that summer is here landing in a farmers field is a last resort IMO, especially if the plane...
