Did Ask a FAASTeam Program Manager today at a Seminar , he gave me the same answer as you have said. Most C172 belts do fit me fine at 240 Lbs. But once in while I find Cessna a C172 and when I raise the seat the belt goes real tight. the yoke movements are just "fine" but I think a very...

    Babar Suleman and his son...

Eddie thanks for this write up, well wait for NTSB inquiry since this was on U.S. territory, however I was bit surprised with Babar 's decision to choose turtle pac tanks, instead of aluminum tanks (less prone to weight & Balance issues) as some one who has seen "dozens " of Ferry Pilots make...

What constitutes Pilot in Command in this situation

Not really ? just a week before this tragedy. 19 year old MIT student Matt Guthmiller(www.limitless-horizons.org) completed round the world trip . Same route in exactly the same kind of Bonanza, and last year it was 21 year old Jack Weigand, (www.facebook.com/solofFight2013) in a Mooney. And...

    Babar Suleman and his son...

I agree, I was critical abt this journey risking "two" people in a single engine plane and even wrote to him about this on his blog ! Read his blogs - he gives wonderful explanations on his preparedness "with a mind set to ditch" if necessary Haris(son) was IFR rated . his check ride...

    Babar Suleman and his son...

What constitutes Pilot in Command in this situation

DAD claims the 17 year old got his PPL IFR a month and half before taking on this Odyssey, So FAA registery must not have been updated ! but yes I believe it is the Father who is the real PIC with the young man doing some flying not to take away his glory but it saddens me to think when people...
