    Is this turn legal ?

Please reference this approach at Auburn, Ca https://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/2108/09143R7.PDF I noticed that from Rozzy to CITXU, the leg is labeled nopt, yet it is a 098 degree turn. The turn from the other side is even more. I thought turns like these had to be 90 degrees or less Any...

    Gps moca ?

If this has been asked, I have missed this. T routes for gps often show an mea but also a starred altitude as a moca I know if it was for a vor, it would be for within 22 miles of the station For gps it makes no sense. I think it might guarantee comm, but can find no reference in the aim...

    Commercial Pilot requirements

I may be having a brain freeze, but I am unsure of the interpretation of the commercial pilots requirements. See 61.129 https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CFR-2010-title14-vol2/pdf/CFR-2010-title14-vol2-sec61-129.pdf It says that the applicant must have 20 hours of training in the areas of...

Plane Ideas for Recurring X-Country Mission

I think you need to build up some serious hours of experience, possibly with a mentor, before you plan on making trips of 920 plus nautical miles every 10 days or so in a high performance airplane with 2 or 3 others.

    Flight delay question

Just curious when customers get treated badly like this... If one were to go to small claims court what would happen ? Also, what would determine what small claims court it would be held in, as if is were to be held in Miami and one were just passing through, it obviously would not pay to come...

Under a Class c- What airspace

I think I'm having a brain freeze. If you are operating under the floor of a Class Charlie, are you in a class e to the surface as far as airspace ? It may not matter and be only an academic matter, but just wondering if someone could technically be below 700 feet above the surface in an area...

    Who screwed up here?

The controller said "cross cegan at or above 7800" That would get most folks thinking they can cross it at 7800

    Too much plane for training?

A36 is about 10 inches longer and they don't have cg issues like the debonair and bonanza do. On those models, CG moves aft as you burn fuel, and you have to be careful, as you can leave in cg and yet burn enough fuel that you are out with a rearward cg when you land.

    Too much plane for training?

I have a 1977 Cessna 182q and a 1966 debonair with the 285 engine. Debonair is way more fun and about 20'knots faster than the 182 on the same fuel. Skylane is much, much roomier, and a lot easier to teach in. Older bonanzas and debonair either have the throwover wheel( what I have) or a...
