    Frikin laser beams

Aren't there some corner reflectors that can bounce the beam right back to the source from any angle?

How do you define speed in space?

We learned in 1970s computer science that base e was the most efficient.

So who is flying these drones?

Nuke them from space. It's the only way to be sure.

Problems we shouldn't have / Pet Peeve thread

Arg! I hate that. I need 91 octane and I know that someone just before me used the 88. So I get 88 that's still in the hose before I get the 91. Then the next guy gets MY 91 that I've paid extra for. Even worse is that the 88 has ethanol in it so I get some of that as well. It's not fair I...

    Visiting Midway Atoll

Lived on Midway 1965-1966 where my father was the harbor officer. George Cannon Elementary School. Great place to be a kid. Outstanding beaches and cool places to explore and collect glass fishballs. My only warning: don't play on the runways and stay off the fueling pier. Fun watching the...

    182 feeling cramped.

I think that's caused by the seat stop AD. Keeps the seat nice and close so it's hard to get my feet in. Used to be really easy to slide the seat all the way back and get in, then slide forward. Then the Cessna Butt Shimmy to lock the pins.

Flew a C177R Cardinal Yesterday for the First Time

Love the plane and it's perfect for my mission. The forward CG is really an issue and I don't want to haul around a bunch of ballast. Is there some STC to put maybe 10 pounds of lead way back in the tail to get the CG somewhat more normal?

    Those monsters

It's not a problem dragging a huge high power electric cord over the dock to a plane floating in water?

    N number on wings

Since the numbers on the wings are just part of the paint scheme and are not required, do they have to match the tail number? One number (the right one) on the tail, something else on the wing. Fun for all!

What callsign for Piper Cherokee derivatives?

Another vote for Cherokee. The one time they really wanted to know what kind of Cherokee, "Archer" was good enough.

    [NA]OCR[NA]

I don't know about software, but if it's one small document it may be easier and cheaper and faster to just hire someone to type it in.

    Cessna Cooling and Charging System

How does this cool air? In a large opening and out a small one. Turning a generator creates heat, compressing air creates heat. Just taping over the opening in the standard Cessna can vent will do the same thing. Output air velocity goes up, but I don't understand how cooling happens.

Do we need another military branch?

Seems like an easy solution would be to make the Space Force a subset of the Air Force much like the Marines and the Navy.

    Good Plane For Handicapped Passenger?

My wife has bad knees and a back fusion. She found it REALLY hard to get up and into our Archer which led to us selling it. It was the bending and stepping in and that I had to get in first was the problem. I was resigned to high-wings until I thought about the Tiger. We tried one on. It...
