Two GPS antennae interfere with each other

Key word there "Transponder" - this means it is not only a receiver but also a transmitter. You will need to use a separate antenna. The transmit function of the ADSB transponder will not allow you to share the antenna with any other receiver, the first time the transponder sends a 250W pulse...

    Penn Yan Aero Conversion Kit

Same setup here on a 172R, we are seeing 121-122 KTAS at 65% running LOP. The conversion is well worth it, IMHO.

    Private Runway

We've got a 172 that operates on 2600' x 35' with powerlines at each threshold. Works fine for just about everything but high summertime temps and max gross operation gets a little sporty on takeoff. I've never had a problem with narrow runways, there is a crop duster strip nearby that I...

    Great deal on plane

Varies by county, pick your location carefully. I pay almost nothing in property tax.

    Caribbean Flying

A good fuel stop in west Texas would be Andrews (E11, just north of Midland/Odessa) they have self-serve 100LL for $3.47.

    Dynon SkyView

Yes, the main screens come with the D37 harnesses. What is optional are all the Skyview Network cables to tie all the various boxes together, you can either buy the premade cables from Dynon or build them yourself. I chose to build them myself because I'm a glutton for punishment.

    Dynon SkyView

Dynon is the easy way to go, but certainly not the only way. I'm running dual 10" Skyview screens in my RV9A and absolutely love it. If you are not big on doing the wiring yourself (I did, but there's a lot of it) I would give Stein a shout, he does top-shelf work and will deliver a drop-in...

CAF Red Tail P-51 Gear Up at RBD

I don't know the gear system on the P-51C, but I see the tail gear is down, was this a gear-up or a gear-fold?

FMS failure leads to Citation crash?

From reading the prelim report, it sounded to me more like he had some extensive avionics problems, and hand-flew the airplane into a thunderstorm while preoccupied with the FMS.

    Homeland Security got suspicious...

+1, I've used that many times, haven't gotten any pushback at all. Controllers understand about airsickness and full bladders, I'm sure they hear that a lot.

Can't we all just be nice?

My standard response when asked "How are you today" is "Mostly all-right, nobody is chewing on my ass and all the kids are out of jail at the same time." Usually gets a smile and a chuckle.

Don't buy that SR-22 just yet

Yup, same guy - Alex DeDominicis at Eagles Nest airpark in Midlothian. N110LV has air conditioning installed, and we used it two weeks ago during my transition training.
