FIY, I posted about the Bearing and Distance app and I am just a user, not associated in any way with the developer. However, I do work for Motorola and have a Droid.

Check out 'Bearing and Distance" This is a basic GPS navigation app for only $5 (per US section). Just like the name says, it gives bearing an distance to an airport, VOR, waypoint, etc. Useful for an aircraft without DME or as a backup. It will also show the nearest airports.
