    Helicopter Add on to CFI

    Used 14 CFR 61-73(G)(3) to add on Rotorcraft Helicopter to my CFII-ME certificate this week.

    Queston for the CFIs with

    better understanding of the regulations than I. To add a Helicopter rating to a current CFI certificate requires a 25 question Knowledge(written)Test(code is HFA). Does the applicant for the add on rating need an endorsement from a CFI to take the written? Specific reference please. Thanks Ron
