    Airplane Repo The TV Series

This season it's more "fake" than ever. So fake it's nauseous. I used to enjoy the show for it's entertainment value, but there's so little "reality" in it this year, it's no longer worth watching imo.

Finally - Airlines are held responsible

They probably don't want to juggle the planes sitting at the gates with the room they need to make for arriving planes....

(Not asking Nick, but everyone in general) What's the alternative, they start canceling flights?

    TSA strikes again

I wonder how it would go for one if they were to dial 911 and report that an airport was under the control of said terrorists (but using the word terrorist)... Enjoy your trip to Cuba!

    Night digital camera shots

The other issue, I've found, is that if you need exposure lengths longer than ~6 seconds when shooting the moon your image will blur - cuz it's moving.

Do you carry your medical certificate?

According to the AOPA it's more about keeping in line with IACO standards than anything else. PITA if you ask me. But yes, you have to carry your entire SI letter now too.

Do you carry your medical certificate?

Sort of OT, but be advised that we're now also required to carry our SODA and/or SI letter (if applicable) in addition to the above. (Per 67.401(j) effective July 24, 2008). HTH

Carry your Authorization Letter with you?

The rule went into effect on Aug 24'th 2008. Technically, since that date you need to have your Authorization and/or SODA with you or in the plane when exercising the privileges of your pilots certificate.

Carry your Authorization Letter with you?

I don't think they will impose those standards here in the US, but after looking at the back of my medical, it would appear to me that if you're operating outside of the US you may have other countries standards imposed on you when operating in that country. Meaning that if you're disqualified...

Carry your Authorization Letter with you?

Wow... I guess I should actually read the information my AME gave me when doing my SI medical... Says it right on the back of my newly issued medical certificate (Issued to me in Dec)...

Carry your Authorization Letter with you?

Don't fret it, it's a new change that just happened, but is in the current published 14 CFR 67.401 (j). I plan to make a copy tonight and put it in my flight bag for the next time I fly. Currently, all AME's are supposed to be reminding pilots of this change.
