    Where has he gone?

This is a crying shame... I missed the sequence of events that lead up to Dr. B leaving, but am saddened by the loss of one of the truly giving individuals to grace this board. If you read this Bruce, please re-consider!

    weight and balance N/A (huh?)

So, Judy... Does this mean that we can't meet at the Skyway Cafe at Felts for breakfast? Good job on the weight loss! I used WW years ago when I had a desk job (and about 30lbs extra weight). Worked great for me at the time and may be in my future again (looking in the mirror...) Four...

Why does a stalled wing stay stalled?

Wow, Ron - This is one of those pearls of wisdom that we have all been taught during our training and think we understand... Until the SHTF! Your explanation above could very well save a life or two. Wish the original explanation in the text and by my primary instructor had been that...

    Maybe an option?

Rudy~ I've been following your progress the past year with a big smile on my face, 'cause you remind me of a lot of the other go-getter types I've known over the years - in aviation and lots of other industries as well... Remember, this is an ol *art talking here, and not a professional...

    Mid 60's Cherokee 180 PA28-180 Checklist

Here is a Word document that I loosely based on the standard format now in use... heaven knows we didn't get anything like that with mid-60's Cherokees, eh? Easy to modify as you see fit. Hope it helps you. I highlighted the edges of the Emergency Procedures pages with a red Magic Marker...

    Enjoying my license!!

Rudy, my man... there is hope for you as a pilot! You've no doubt read many times: "A pilot is always learning..." What they don't say is that some of the most important learning is how to schmooze the GF! :D Sounds like you are doing fine in that department. Glad to read that you are...

    Bummer Saturday

Ghery~ How did the repair surgery to your wife's shoulder go? Hope all is well, as things like that can be a real bummer. Please wish her well from all of us here on the board! Weather excellent here in Spokaloo also. Began a month of graveyard shifts last night, so slept through the nice...

Here comes Mt. Saint Helens (again)

At about 1730 PST Mt. St. Helens cleared her throat again with little seismic warning. Ash and steam to approx FL 35 with Easterly winds. Light dusting of ash expected to reach the Central Basin around Moses Lake by about Midnight tonight and perhaps Spokane, depending on steering winds...
