    Hit a nerve

So with PBOR-2 that Dr Bruce mentioned in that thread, did they also pass an exception for the nuerostimulator’s “Black Box” liability statement regarding pilot’s use of them?

    Hit a nerve

Hi, long time no post. In an effort to save electrons I’ll spare the history of the issue of my spine, lol. Can we have implantable nuerostimulators and keep our first class Medicals?

    Hi

Did the FO flying to see his family in Little Rock ever say hello to you from me? It must have been a couple months back now, but he said he’s flown with you a bunch down there... he’s based there as well. I didn’t write down his name, lol. Super nice though.

    Hi

Hey everyone, I’ve been out of the loop for a while with starting a family, job stuff, and life in general. I see where the red board was no more. I hope everyone is enjoying whatever flight time you can get. How is everyone doing? Any new exciting things going on in anyone’s world?

    Lasik procedures

LOL, family friend is an ophthalmologist... Abberitions are like little peaks and valleys in your cornea I do believe. He said they have known about them since the 30s, but they haven't been able to correct for them until about 3 years ago. I picked up the new glasses that correct for it and I...

Declared my first emergency the other day

Who has the right-of-way over all other aircraft? There's always a reason to declare :). Sounded like there were multiple other aircraft inbound or operating at the airport.

Declared my first emergency the other day

How much paperwork is involved if you declare an emergency? How much added workload does declaring an emergency impose? How much of an inconvenience is it to other pilots if you declare an emergency? Don't hesitate to declare! Because you never know when your situation may suddenly...

    New Plane Search - Seneca

I had been looking at a couple different Cubs, and each owner gave me the feeling that they wanted to put there plane on the market so they could brag about what they had.... Not sell it. I ended up going into a partnership with an old instructor of mine... The cub is a blast to fly, and an...

    Things your instructor did

I had an enjoyable experience where my instructor had me make a 0/0 landing. Not as intensive as some things out there, but it really was exciting for me. It was done during the day with an ILS approach to Hot Springs (KHOT). My instructor had used electrical tape to provide extra "blackout"...

    And so it is

No I fly for a different company. That was just the picture I took waiting at a gate one day :)

    And so it is

Thanks guys!!! It's been a fun road. The hardest part was starting off in the 200, because it was the same plane I had been flying, and so I had to relearn how to fly the same plane a new way.... Switching companies means new call-outs and profiles :yikes: The 200 was an experiment ALMOST...

    And so it is

Had a great day today... Passed my PC for the 700/900. My sim partner needed a little help with the rudder on his V1 cut, but what the examiner can't see won't hurt :). The guys I normally call and share the excitement with have all passed on, and I wanted to share it with someone else who...

When you have an auto body shop paint the prop(s), do they need/require the balance checked again?

Funniest thing you've heard on the radio?

I've never heard it before that day.... Must have been a couple pilots who had heard that one before. I enjoyed it :yesnod: Not a radio thing, but at Colgan there was a Captain who would hand the FO a Barbie doll leg.... Then say, it's your leg, your brief :D

Funniest thing you've heard on the radio?

My dad became sick, and I haven't had much time. I just changed companies and am just about done with the training. Between that and helping mom with the family business I don't have much free time anymore :(

Funniest thing you've heard on the radio?

Waiting to take off from JFK one morning.. we were about eighth of fifteen aircraft in line. From one of the planes, a voice over the radio said, "Fuc-!" JFK tower (angrily demanding to know): "Who said fuc-?" First aircraft in the line (gave callsign): "did not say FUC-." Quickly followed...
