There isn’t? See Vashon Ranger thread - it ain’t doing so great either.

Why has Vashon sold so few Rangers, and will MOSAIC turn that around?

A lot more capable *used aircraft out there, I think you mean. That’s a big difference. I have wondered why they don’t take-off, too, but have no answers. I’m getting back into the air these days. My plane is still in maintenance hell and I can’t even find a plane to rent. Flight school...

[World Tribune] Report: FAA quietly widened the EKG parameters for America’s pilots

Wait, you’re telling me there are people who still think the vaccines work and are safe? Psssssht hahahaha!!

Aren’t you selling your plane because you are predicting you won’t be able to afford it in the future??

    Overhauled Knees

How old were you guys when you did the replacement? Both my knees are shot from years of competitive skiing and many surgeries. Last doctor I talked to basically shrugged and said “there ain’t much we can do at this point, your job is to try to make it to 55 at least before you replace them both”.

    Amateur Rocketry

I just got my six year old son his first couple of Estes. I remember launching them as a kid, mostly unsuccessfully, but we built two of them together (glue and knives and spray paint what fun!) and took them out this last weekend to launch them. The Patriot and Big Bertha, both models I...

    Aviation periodicals

I guess I could see that, @kyleb. One thing I really appreciate about AC (and I don’t mean to be a booster - I am not getting paid for this post lol) is the articles about GA planes that you can realistically own. That is one thing that grates on me about FLYING, it’s pretty much all planes...

    Aviation periodicals

Funny that no one has mentioned Aviation Consumer. It is, obviously, the best mag out there. ...no really, it's the best. Flying gets super repetitive after a while, same for Plane and Pilot, if it even exists anymore. AOPA is too dry. Cessna Flyer is pretty good, honestly, but if you want...

    I’m calling the peak

So what are the latest thoughts on pricing? I’m paying attention to boats more than planes these days and there’s lots of chatter in that world about plummeting prices and there are some cracks starting to form in terms of obviously better deals (but those could be purely seasonal as people put...

    Smart Useful Load Margins

I am surprised at how many people are basically say flying at gross without pointing out that it really depends on the circumstances. I'm hardly a weight weeny, but I think the ability to recognize scenarios and adapt to scenarios that require careful consideration is the real question, e.g...

Filing a Complaint With Local FSDO?

Speaking as someone who is currently tangling with the FAA, I would strongly advise you not to voluntarily start a tangle with the FAA. They are petty bureaucrats who will make your life a mess and enjoy doing it, even if you are not the target of their investigation and have done nothing...

How to say you had a talk with the FSDO without saying you talked to the FSDO

I avoid this problem by never opening a flight plan.

a bit different "what plane should I buy" question

With the exception of the Comanche and Bonanza, I feel like none of the models suggested are fast enough for someone whose primary use is a 500nm trip.

I bought an airplane. It was a lifelong dream. 6 months later, I'm out. (Reddit post)

This is pretty much just life in SoCal, tbh. Wait’ll the FAA gets up your ass about something then you’ll really love aviation.

    I’m calling the peak

Correct. I'm seeing layoffs at our client companies already. Didn't Tesla just announce layoffs? @Terry M - 3CK (Chicago) that sounds like a good partnership and all other things being equal I'd say go for it. But at a $200k valuation? No way. Well, no way unless you don't mind your $50k...

New video released of Richard Russell the man who stole a Q400

Yup, got off scott-free. He totally didn’t get shot down, too, silly conspiracy theorists.

    Goodbye KRHV Reid Hillview

@FPK1 that just means the developers won't have to do any remediation woohoo!

    I’m calling the peak

So what’s the latest - are we peaking? I’m seeing more and more planes and some (relatively speaking) more reasonable prices. Anyone have new thoughts on this?

Looking for buying advice. A need for speed in new plane.

Can you elaborate? Is that because of OP’s size? I really have always wanted a turbocharged Mooney, but I really don’t fit in them (and they really don’t match the 80% of my mission that isn’t long and fast x-country, but they are sweet machines!).
