    Ideal aircraft for commercial training

I don’t see the sense in renting a plane. You will be a much better and safer pilot of the plane you own by becoming proficient in it performing the commercial maneuvers. I did my commercial rating in my C182 five years ago and it remains the plane I fly the best and am most comfortable in.

Jack Russel Terrier, Anybody have/had one?

My wife came with two of them that she had as a kid and we had one more since. Her mother was a horse breeder and breed JRTs for extra income. They were very popular with the Morgan horse crowd 20-30 years ago. They are two speed dogs…full speed and no speed. They are great dogs if trained but...

Can I log PIC - fantasy edition

Why would the attendant need to ask? Didn’t you announce that you were a private pilot ready and on call when you boarded the plane?

How do you find the air to air frquency?

In northeast PA there is a lot of chatting on 123.45. Some yahoo is always announcing his probably inflated ground speed on it. I monitor it because the motor chutes near my strip use it.

Rental car shortage & GA travel

I just used Turo.com to bail me out on an upcoming trip to Alaska to do some float flying. Rental cars were not available for months and now that there is limited inventory coming back online nothing is less than $250 a day.

    When Selling Plane- Test Flights?

So how does a seller without a CPL or 135 airplane charge a buyer for a demonstration flight and not violate the FARs?

    When Selling Plane- Test Flights?

Then there is no need to fly it until everything else is done. I like Rick’s term “acceptance flight.” It is the last check in the process to verify that it flys as expected. Two planes of the same make and model will fly almost identical if they are rigged and maintained properly. The logs and...

Helicopter training SE PA (no Robbies)

Helicopter training SE PA (no Robbies)

Any recommendations for helicopter flight training within 250 miles of Reading, PA (KRDG?) I need a few hours to get proficient and take the check-ride again (caught in the Mark George DPE debacle) I want to train in something other than a R22 or R44. I don’t have any Robbie time to meet the...

    When Selling Plane- Test Flights?

As a seller I would only allow a test flight after a price been agreed to and the prebuy has been completed. It should be the last step in the deal. It’s not my job to help a buyer decide what type of plane he wants. Other sellers can do that

Register N-number previously involved in fatal accident?

I owned this one....or at least the tail and data plate https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/7798 It didn’t bother me and helped with the purchase price. When it was time to go Wings of Hope was happy to take it.
