I like the Avare app, I have been running on my Droid as a backup. The only thing that bugs me is I haven't figure out how to display Ground speed in MPH. In the Chief it would be nice, but certainly not a deal breaker.

I think we all find something other than what we are flying to be interesting. An Eagle is a really cool airplane, but those of us truly afflicted, including yourself, find most anything that takes to the air cool in some unique way.

When we did our 172 we did a Smoked Windscreen and I have been very happy with it. This was a couple years ago but it seems like it was only 10% or so. I would definitely do it again. That said you can't go wrong putting clear in if that's what you ordered.
