    Youth in Aviation, some thoughts

The challenges we face today in getting the young to be involved with aviation is a daunting one. It’s hard enough to get them to put down their mobile phones and stop texting long enough to see the value in it. With XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii we have even greater challenges. When we were...

    Lets support our local authors

It only costs a few dollars and the stories are wonderful. We need more aviaton books that focus on the joy and sometimes pain of being a pilot.

I would like to thank you all

I really appreciate the interest my fellow pilots and students have in my writing. So far 4 "Dogs Don't Fly" books have been given free. I can't wait to hear what the readers think. I have also had a request for both books. He is willing to defer my costs with a modest sum. How exciting! I...

To give is better than to receive

“To give is better than to receive.” We have all heard this quote from the Bible regardless what religion you follow. I had a chance today to do just that. I am not talking about handing out money to people with cardboard signs at intersections. I am talking about helping a young homeless man...

Had to let my little buddy go

Well, I gave my Pug Trickie Woo back to the breeder Saturday. It really broke my heart but he had no quality of life living with me. I work too much and seldom had time to give him the attention he needed. Brenda says he is doing fine and getting along with her other Pugs. He follows her...

    Cessna 150/150

Does anybody own a Cessna 150/150. I would die to get my hands on one. I already have 400 hours in my 150J and would really enjoy the extra power. It would totally change the airplane. Incidentally, I have wondered why there are not other STC'd engines to replace the venerable O-200. I...

    Mustangs to Memphis

It is so pathetic, I just watched a show about Mustang’s across America a group of 300 Mustangs from California to Memphis. They act like this is some great feat driving cars across a small portion of the country. They have no idea what it is like to fly a Cessna 150 to Oshkosh from Oklahoma...

    Sun N Fun

Wow, I just did a check and SNF is 900 nautical miles from my home base, if I would be willing to fly 200 miles across open water, IE the Gulf of Mexico. If I followed the coast it would add another 300 miles. Compair that to my trip to Oshkosh which is about 675 miles. I don't know if the 150...

Has anybody ever put Horton wintips on a Cessna 150

I am wondering if it is worth the $600.

Poll: Who wants me to go away?

Ok, I get it. Nobody wants to hear about my book or my intentions. I shall gracefully bow out of this message board. Good luck and I hope future conversations will be less controversial.

I wish all of you could understand

I posted my book on this forum not to make money, believe me. I only wanted to share my passion for aviation to you all. If you email me I will send you a book for free. No fooling, I just want people to share my work with the youth. I am a very sucessful architect and don't need the small...
