    Multiple Recent ATC Errors...Why?

Well boys, beating up on ATC seems undeserved. After 40 plus years of working with these guys I happen to feel they do a great job with the challenges some of us give them, certainly including me at times and I would assume if anyone were to look into the past they would agree. I certainly hear...

    Missing Plane Paris, Texas

Sadness, That’s all I can say on this one. It’s something special that we can all feel the sadness with many of us never have known this young man but share the common experience of flight. May he rest in peace in the heavens as we pass by him above and keep him and his family in our thoughts.

True, suppose they’ll get a look at the engines, or what’s left of them and eliminate the obvious. Hindsight 2020 made a great point in his post with disappearing forensics with proof of icing. Can only consider the flight conditions and issue a report. Unless there was ATC communication near...

That’s a great take on this one . Leaning towards the Laser attack myself and perhaps there might be more views on this one after we finish rehashing the Flygirl Youtube accident further. Going for 1K redundant comments on that one.

    N252DL Cessna 310 Texas 1/14

What am I missing on this one. Looks like a gradual controlled decent into terrain. Below published RNAV MSA no where IAF. Speed doesn’t appear to be diminished due to icing and trying to maintain altitude. Looks very controlled as if it was a visual approach to the airport. But apparently not...

Bonanza V35B down Angwin CA (2O3) fatal

Throw over yoke has got to be one of the worse components of Beech. I cant imagine it should be used for training, check, or IFR safety pilot currency flights. I’ve ridden along on those safety pilot flights and never felt comfortable with having to reach down pull a pin, swing the yoke, and...

Youtube Pilot and her dad perish in TN

After installing a GFC500, dual G5’s I did a test flight. After reaching about 5K agl I engaged AP To NAV/GPS. 210 was stable and engaged Alt hold. It began small alt changes which increased to a point from 50’ to 500’. after disengaging AP I reestablished stable flight and tried it again, and...
