Turns around a point in a low wing

I will say if you do your ground ref maneuvers at 1500 AGL then you’ll get to watch the DPE start filling out the notice of disapproval on the way back to the airport… The payoff for these maneuvers is in the traffic pattern. So, do them at traffic pattern altitudes. [emoji56] Sent from my...

Turns around a point in a low wing

Just like I would in a high wing. Eyeball it. You shouldn’t be fixated on the single point. Look at the surrounding area. If the goal is to fly a consistent radius around that point, look at all of the thingies on the ground that intersect that arc circle, you’re about to fly. That barn, then...

I need help. I want to get to 250 hours as efficiently as possible.

I swear I’ve seen another thread that showed some interpretation letter stating that the X/C done for the IFR doesn’t count for either of the “commercial” x/c lessons. Could be wrong, though. Wouldn’t be the first, second, or even third time today… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need help. I want to get to 250 hours as efficiently as possible.

Nope. Only if they happened to be ACTING in that scenario. A nit...

Why does an aft CG result in lighter than normal control forces?

If the tail actually did generate lift upwards, wouldn’t the plane just continuously flip tail over nose about the lateral axis since both are behind the CG? Take that picture you had and change the lift arrow of the tail to point down. Then it would be correct. The downward “lift” of the tail...
