Hi, worked for me, I flew out of Islip and usually had NY approach giving traffic advisories, of course you have to keep a look out and be diligent with your scanning. Go for it, a lot of people train here, why not you?

Funny, I have a 56 172, and just said to my wife " I don't think I can ever sell this plane"...I know what you mean!

Hello all...I purchased a 172 with the jpi 450 fuel scan. I can see the k factor is not quite right. Anyone give me a place to start (K factor your using)..it seems the fuel burn rate is close, but it is showing I have more fuel in the tank, than I actually have. The engine is 0-300.

Hey Joe just found this thread..keep going! I soloed at kisp also but that was in 2008. I didn't finish back then and because of other things (life), I got back into it last year and finally got my ticket last October..Take it easy..Pete
