    Thank You

I want to thank everyone of you, for helping keep my mind distracted all day, with the fun threads. Most of my day has been spent sitting in the hospital, beside the bed, of my friend who is recovering from surgery. She has been awake very little, and when she is awake, is really out of it...

Best way to take pictures of old photos

I'm visiting a friend right now, and she has a bunch of old photos, but not the negatives. What is the best way to get quality photos, of photos? My cell isn't doing a good job of lighting or quality unfortunately. Some of these old pictures are from long before I was born, others are of our...

    Compact Powered Parachutes

I know squat about powered parachutes, have only skydived, not used one powered. Do they make a backpack style power unit that would fit in the back of a Honda Accord, with the back seat folded down, and if so does it work well, and who makes the best one?

    Oil

This is not your average oil thread, and please don't turn it into WWIII. Do you run multi weight, or straight weight oil in your piston powered plane? No need to say a brand name, what weight you use, just yes or no, multi or straight weight. Got into an interesting conversation with 2...

    Ovation Ultra Take Off/Landing

Does an Ovation do okay on grass, gravel, sand? If there are no obstacles, what is realistically needed for distances to get in and out, at say 2,000' density altitude, it would always be below gross weight at least a little when operating off those surfaces. Asking for a friend. Thanks in advance.

    School Me on Maule M-9

The Maule is intriguing, but I know little about them. Is the M-9 crap, okay, good, great, or a dream plane? Why? If placed on amphibious floats, how is it then? Can the panel be optioned nicely from the factory?

    121.5

When doing a cross country flight, who still tunes into 121.5 to listen. I do, but seems that from talking to some newer pilots, they weren't taught to, and don't. Do you?

    What Other Careers

What is it that you do for work, or did do if not working now, and if you could go back in time and change things, what other careers would you have been interested in? As for me, I own a farm/ranch, a few head of cattle ( 20-30 year ) some chickens, 4 horses, 3 dogs, and a few thousand acres...

    If You Had 5M

If you had 5 Million dollars to spend on an airplane, what would you buy? This is purely for fun, not me thinking what to get. Operating expenses are not a factor for the purpose of this thread. I would buy a Kodiak on aerocet amphibs.

    Adding More Fuel to 180J

What is the best way to add more gallons of fuel to a Cessna 180J? Have someone take the wings apart and add big bladders, or how? I have no idea, so open to options. Tip tanks? Do tips make it a lot wider?
