    Andover Flight School

My guess based off the quote you just gave, when I was training there in 2020 we landed the cub on the grass runway and the runway, the grass runway was located on the opposite side from the hangars right next to the runway. Anyways I'm guessing the airport manager has restricted it to airport...

IFR bust and frustration - advice needed

First off, seems like this an issue thats better off discussed with your flight instructor than on POA. In my opinion some of the issues you mentioned should've been ironed out before the checkride, for example: not staying ahead of the aircraft, overthinking procedures, rushing, forgetting...

    Landing & taxi light inop

Like to thank everyone for all the help!! On the taxi light, a quick switch replacement was the cure, and the connectors for the ground were extremely corroded on the landing light. (Relaying what the A&P told me), thanks again!

    Non-VFR altitude post-engine work

IMO, I've flown a fair amount of vfr cruising altitudes in the last 3 months and I get very close to airplanes at those vfr cruising altitudes(not surprise thats where everyone is). I'd either get flight following which is the safest option, or review some airways and departure and arrival...

    STRUGGLING #2

Ive worked 4 instructor jobs in the past 2 years, literally all that matters is finding the right instructor and having an airplane that works. You can be at the best flight school in the country and have a crappy instructor and become a mediocre pilot, or go to the trashiest place with a great...

    Quandary!

I personally have no info on accelerated wear. There is once case where this was a problem in my memory. Down in Florida at embry riddle there was a crash a few years back, they had an aircraft which had main spar damage because the airplane had withstood an abnormal amount of landings over its...

    Landing & taxi light inop

First off, I checked the bulbs, they both work hooked them up to a battery. To set the background I just got hold of a Cessna 150k, when I bought it all lights were functional. When I went to test the lights (temperature 20F) I flipped the master did a walk around and all the lights went on...
