Maybe one day they’ll be kind enough to update their chart to show that you need to be off medications for 90 days instead of the 60 they claim if you decide to try the off SSRI protocol (decision path 1).

You can absolutely get a first class medical but you will have to fulfill and have favorable reports from the HIMS psychiatrist and HIMS ame.

You need a HIMS ame and are looking about a year minimum to get a medical. You should start random drug testing asap to start documenting abstinence/sobriety. If you have not yet been denied a medical you could at least start training to get a sport pilot certificate and you can at least build...

If you end up trying to validate your easa license/medical please let us know how it goes. It sounds like it should work since you have a valid medical and easa license so I personally don’t see what the problem would be. If I was in your situation I would try the same thing.

Wait a minute. Are you telling me that an ACTUAL physician who was ACTUALLY involved in your healthcare was the one who approved you to return to flying and it wasn’t some piece of garbage government employee that hasn’t practiced medicine in years?

The regional flight surgeon in this case will not be able to do anything. Not quite as useless as okc or dc but still pretty useless.

It makes me happy to hear that someone was able to appeal to the NTSB and have some success. Was it the full ntsb panel of judges or was it just the single judge? I’m guessing you probably shouldn’t have even been labeled as an alcohol abuser and the faa was once again going overboard.

If you tell the faa you’re going to be putting yourself in a really bad position. Probably grounded for about a year (at least). Talk to an aviation attorney because the faa will only find out about the Zoloft if you disclose it.

What makes you think the faa will pull your prescription history? Now, there is a chance they can ask you for a printout of your prescription history but I do not believe they can just pull it up.

My thoughts exactly. I’m not with an airline and am paying completely out of pocket for my HIMS program. Seemed pretty real to me when the unscrupulous HIMS AME I had did some pretty awful things.
