    Back Taxi Near Miss

Did the taxiway also connect to the hangars at the end of the airport? If so, the runway should not be used as a taxiway.:mad2:

    Glazed cylinder walls

Lance, do you know the history of compressions and oil usage on your engine for the 850 hours? You reported high oil usage due to blow by. How much oil usage and has it changed a lot? Were compressions steady for 850 hours? I have a hard time understanding much for blow by with compressions...

    Unconventional Landings

better to open the throttle and go around than to try to save such a landing. Everyone praises go arounds and I am not knocking them when they are needed. How come no one likes to open the throttle-straighten everything out-then land again if there is 3000-4000 feet of runway left to play...

    Inverted stall

Its the volume of the shouting-screaming -cussing-whatever that gets louder when inverted.:hairraise:

    Passed my glider checkride

Congrats Paul, Plan to train for any aerobatics in the ASK-21? I noted about 8 glider pilots including myself who responded to this thread plus a few who have tried or are interested. How many of you would like to see a sub forum of Controlled Airspace started and call it Gliders and...

Hello Rick, Maybe you should check out www.wingsoverwaterseaplanes.com . They will train with a 160 supercub (cool):yesnod: for $195 per hour with instructor. I remember reading about the editor of Plane and Pilot mag. doing a BFR there by getting her seaplane rating and she had all praises...

    An Aero Biplane

Eric, does your Pitts have spring gear? Fly off a grass field? My S-1 has bungy gear and I fly off pavement. The bungys are very tight! So far the gear could just as well be welded. I do not want to be in there when the bungys come off the stops. Rick

    2) Leah's all smiles after her first flight in her Cherokee I also love that pic Leah! It looks just like I imagined it would when I first read that you got 53T as a wedding present. I am sure we all would like to read about your thoughts and feelings of that first flight in it. I will add...

Plane crash during Air Show in Indonesia

I thought it looked like his attitude while inverted should have maintained altitude or even climbed a little with good airspeed and power. Maybe he was short on one or both. Not good for inverted at that altitude! Rick

Failed my Class III medical today.

Ed, (and probably some others reading here) I think you should Google Paragon CRT and try this out. I have been using this for over 5 years with amazing distant vision which has not changed at all for the 5 years. It should work well for you because your correction is pretty small to begin...

    Steep approach gone bad

I have not been near a Remos so do not know anything about them. I watched the video and did not see anything which should have buckled the nose gear like that. I cannot believe it passed certification testing if that is all it takes to buckle the nose gear. I think it may have had prior damage...

    Leah Learns to Glide

Re: Leah Learn's to Glide Jesse, I like to stay lined up on centerline because eventually, by constantly doing so, it gives you a pretty good feeling for the x-wind you will be dealing with at touchdown. Leah, sorry to hijack your thread, that was a great report! Glad you had a good time...
