    Garmin Aera 760 released

It is for GPS/NAV/COMM redundancy and additional display options - the plane is a B55 Baron. One is an IFD550 which has the additional attitude/svs display page. The other is an IFD540 which doubles as an onboard weather radar display.

    Garmin Aera 760 released

I think about 30 minutes by wifi. I don't pay much attention to it since I take it home and let it do its thing, kind of like an iPad os update.

    Garmin Aera 760 released

Old thread, but in case someone can benefit… My airplane now has dual GI 275s and dual IFDs along with the panel mounted Aera 760. I added a GDL 50R with its own external ADS-B antenna and hardwired it to the 760. Traffic and weather is now displayed on the 760 independent of the IFDs and the...

    Area 760 as MFD

I have a panel mounted 760 hardwired to an Avidyne IFD for route data and sync, and also hardwired to a GDL 50R for traffic, weather, and backup attitude. The auto route data sync is IFD to 760 only - I don't need it the other way. The 760 is really nice as an MFD. Curved flight paths show up...

    Garmin Pilot - GDL39r

I have the Tripltek tablet and love it for the brightness, ruggedness, and battery life. It is a bit heavy however. The screen resolution is less than an iPad but that matters little when paired with iflygps. I was planning on using the Tripltek tablet with iflygps and the iLevil 3 AW - but I...

    G 3 vs dual G275

This is a nice option indeed.

I agree with all. I need to dig and experiment further. Thanks

    Garmin Aera 760 released

Thought I would share this in case anyone else has IFD(s) and a 275. I have dual IFDs, dual G5s, and a single GI 275. An Aera 760 will show the active route from the IFDs through the bluetooth connection with the 275. Any changes to the route using the IFDs auto-syncs on the 760 after about 2...

    Dynon HDX & IFD540 in Cherokee 235

That is my dream panel. Unfortunately, it is not available for my B55 Baron. Nice work.

    Best Replacement for Avidyne EX500?

Consider a Garmin 660 or 760. Very capable and reasonably priced (relative to other options). They can get route information from your 530 and display traffic, weather etc. The Vantage system from Avidyne looks great if one already has IFD navigators, but only if there is an autopilot...

    GNX 375 or GNC 355

My vote is for the 375 so that you can hardwire an Aera 760 to it and get a very nice display of traffic, weather, and a moving map along with many other things. It is sort of a poor man’s txi. You will love the 275s.

G5 and GFC 600 (and GI 275 and G500 TXi)

The G5 will not show autopilot status when paired with a GFC 600, only when paired with a GFC 500. The G5/GFC 600 combo does provide altitude preselect and flight director display. The 275/GFC 600 combo will show autopilot mode along with fight directors and also offer altitude preselect from...

    Calibrate WX Radar

Sounds like the issue is likely an antenna mounting issue as mentioned by a previous poster, the radar unit is likely mounted so that it is pointed slightly nose low in level flight attitude. Try shimming and see if it helps your tilt angle issue.
