Garmin GSB 15 or other panel mount USB charger reports?

You're right. Brain fart on my end, but the capability is what matters. Splitting hairs on the protocol

Garmin GSB 15 or other panel mount USB charger reports?

∆∆∆∆ THIS ∆∆∆∆ If you do future updates to me Garmin equipment, the GSB15 can be connected via HSDB and push updates to every unit on the backbone.

    Windshield

Maguires flight jacket is a decent product for working out a scuffed non-glass window. I'd give it a try and if it doesn't work out, then take it back and tell them you tried to live with it, but they're going to have to replace it or refund it.

Buying a ramp rat, what red flags to check for?

Frankly, I wouldn't encourage you to 'inspect' anything in advance of a professional. You'll work up red flags in your head that may not be warranted, and you'll miss almost every real flag. I once ferried a ramp rat out of a metro airport for a friend. It had sat for a decade or so...

    Cherrymax rivet gun??

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Specialty-Tools/Rivet-Tools/2550-20 Lots cheaper than an honest to goodness CherryMax rig. Pulls them great and saves your hands.

Can I just say: I love the title of this thread and I hope it stays alive with many iterations of mysterious throwback items of which we might opine their intended utility.

    Bose Deal!

Lightspeed is vastly more comfortable to me. The Bose just hurts after 2 hours. Nothing wrong with the ANR in either unit, and I like the controller on the Zulu 3 best. Easy to use and smaller than the Bose thingy. Lastly, the cord is way slick and doesn't tangle like the Bose might. Here's the...

Don't Stop Me, I'm Going To Fly

Well Kelly, I ain't gonna stop you and nobody else should either! I'd say go for an orientation flight with an instructor nearby and see if you get along. Then fly as often as you can reasonably afford both financially and allowing for your life outside the airport. The less often you fly...

    Entegra and 650

The Entegra isn't necessarily orphaned, but warranty repairs on the unit are staggeringly expensive and include long wait times. If the warranty on that serial unit isn't current, last I checked it's $10,000 to renew the warranty then a 60-day wait for whatever the repair might be. I've dealt...

Family friendly pilot jobs in Milwaukee

I just don't like flying singles... Even if it is a turbine. But that's a personal thing. I'll be looking for a similar position in a twin in about 12 months. Have to finish out an existing contract

Worn camshaft, some corrosion, some metal in oil

To be fair, a runout isn't necessarily a bad sign. In fact, if the engine has made it to TBO I'd say it was maintained and flown well. I hear your point about a fresh engine under your own care and I've seen that work out very well in my immediate friend group. I suppose my initial response...
