    Prop question

I have the same propeller on my ‘62 180 Comanche. That’s the way they are, just a characteristic of that model prop. Been flying mine 12 year’s and been thru 2 inspection’s and no issue’s. I see no reason to replace it. Jay

    Repainting a Taylorcraft?

Look thru an inspection hole and behind the seat into the fuselage. If n it’s pink it’s polyfiber, if n it’s blue it’s “secretnite”, if n it’s green it’s that water based stuff. Doe’s the metal match the fabric, one darker, one lighter? If so probably polytone, if it match’es, could be anything...

Your thoughts on my last compression test

I would do the borescope, look at the valve's to see if they are seating, especially the exhaust. If there was.any rust on the cylinder walls rotating the engine took care.of that but still look. Being the rear 2 cylinder's and the time.on them (assuming they haven't been off) they may be worn...

My latest flight video of flying the Outer Banks

Nice video, thank you!!! I've been flying the OBX since '85, mostly to W95. After New Years, the winter winds can be horrendous unless a day trip. Cherry Point is always helpful, and nothing.like getting intercepted by a pair of F-18's when crossing the sound. Good job!!
