While we are on the subject of SI, let me ask another question. Does FAA let you go after your SI is expired? My SI goes all the way to 2025. ( lucky me ) Will I be free or FAA will come up with another requirement after 2025? Be safe..

Hello I was wondering in order to get signed off for a check ride, can one instructor sign off for the ground portion and another instructor sign off the flight portion. Or one instructor must do both. haven't gone deep into FAR/AIM to see if there is a rule for this. Thank you all. Be safe.

I really don't want go basic. I'm thinking, after all these years complying with FAA and spending all this money, going basic is waste. Right know I'm getting ready for my CFI check ride. I like to be an experience and safer pilot and hopefully one of these days go corporate.

Thanks Peter. Agree with you on converging each point listed in the PTS for the task. that's why I think CFI check ride, the ground portion is longer than flying portion. Happy new year..
