What avionics does my 182Q need to have for me to take a IFR check ride?

Sorry to distract from the avionics question. I'm also doing a 0-time engine and considering the PowerFlow for my C182. Can you share any feedback on this product? Thank you

    Battery overcharging?

No problem with the battery. The TDMC-90 is a great charger.

Thanks for all the replies. I will see it in person tomorrow. But today, all the anxiety was gone :)

    Battery overcharging?

I accidentally configured the charger for 20hrs charge (2A) and I'm wondering if this will overcharge the battery... Gill G-243. Any thoughts? I'll know when I get back to the hangar but that won't be for 2 days, so I'm a little anxious..

Fuel return line for C182 F.I. retrofits

A few thoughts I wanted to share. Didn't want to distract another thread about fuel balance in C172. I researched (ie. browsed some forums) fuel-injection retrofit options for C182. The Peterson Continental IO-550 upgrade, along with the Airplains IO-550 upgrade, seem to return the excess...

I'm too old to push my 182

The A3 is on my list, just not at the very top yet. Thinking of getting one later this year. When tanks are full, pushing the aircraft back into the T-hangar with a bit of upslope worries me that I may hit a wall with the tail or a wing tip. It just seems repairing a single incident could be...

Circuit breaker size for LED lights

So, for the particuar scenario of the LED taxi and landing lights with 0.7A draw for each light, the circuit breaker for both lights could be let's say 2A to 5A, or even higher depending on the rating of the wires to the lights? Cessna SEB09-6R1 calls for the inspection and replacement of the...

Circuit breaker size for LED lights

Looking at recent posts on LED lights and considering how less power they consume compared to the originals, it's making me wonder whether downsizing their associated circuit breakers would provide any benefits. Let's say going from 10A original circuit breaker to a 2A for a LED landing/taxi...

    Led light upgrade recommendations?

    Combine landing/taxi switches?

New panel getting cut. My old panel had three switches for the lights: Taxi, Landing, Wingtips. Just an opportunity to streamline a little bit. Also, I think the original Taxi and Landing lights together make a good taxi light.

    Combine landing/taxi switches?

My C182 has both a LED taxi light and a LED landing light on the nose. The airplane has upgraded wingtips with HID lights as well. I'm thinking about using the taxi light switch for the two lights on the nose, and using the landing light for the wingtips lights. Bad idea? I don't know if...

    Programming alert into G3X

Did your plane originally have a "low voltage" annunciator coming from the voltage regulator, or something similar to that, and if so, does the G3X Touch replace it? I'm wondering if I should ask my G3X Touch installer to look into that or not bother to ask if it's obviously impossible..

    Led light upgrade recommendations?

I got Parmetheus Plus landing and taxi lights last year and I'm very happy with them. Too bad Whelen doesn't put the documentation online for the Pros. I'm curious why the PAR36 is labeled as Landing light and the PAR46 is labeled landing/taxi light, yet both models only show one SKU each...

    Arrow needing a right wing

I think Airframe Components has well refurbished Piper and Cessna wings in stock. Don't know the prices, though.
