Got an oldie but goodie KX-99 handheld. Anatenna fitting is loose, some parts bent, some soldering maybe. Still fully functional, just dicky reception. Anyone doing repairs on these beasties? I've had it for 30 odd years, kinda has a place.

Yep, found it, thanks. Long with opening it, wiggling connections, trying a new cord and power source, seems to be working better. After the wiggling, new power cord, correct shutdown, was working much better, showing traffic in the ap settings map. Nothing showing up outside on the Ipad...

I've done that. Does work better with two headsets of same manufacturer. With a fancy smancy noise redutor, or a later model standard with my 30 year old Dave Clark, not so much. Abd ditto on the portables. Had one in a Citabria years ago, worked great with any headset.
