    Post aircraft pictures you took

Here is last week's adventure. Copalis State, S16. The runway was a bit wet though. But worth the trouble to give it a bath later.

Why has Vashon sold so few Rangers, and will MOSAIC turn that around?

This is on a May '23 update from EPI. "THE ENGINE DESCRIBED HERE WAS DESIGNED AND BUILT BY EPI, Inc. FOR AN UNDISCLOSED CLIENT COMPANY AS DESCRIBED BELOW..." Then says all over it is designed to be a clean sheet 125hp O-200 replacement. Hmm. I see the Rangers flying quite a bit at their...

Best way to do a Zero G maneuver?

It is a 2008 Glasair Sportsman. New to me last September. I'm having fun with it It's uses an Advanced Flight Systems AF-5400. It has ports on top and bottom of the wing, plus the pilot tube. It asks for a zero lift calibration and then 1.1 of stall, flaps up and flaps down. The newer...

Best way to do a Zero G maneuver?

Very good. That is kind of what I was thinking. Thank you.

Best way to do a Zero G maneuver?

To calibrate my EFIS' AOA system it asks me to float a tennis ball or something for a second or two, then push a button. What is the best way to enter and do that maneuver? I was going to do it, but I'm pretty sure I was entering it too slow without enough pitch up to start. Now I'm...

    Cub Crafter prices

Sort of related... I parked next to Cub Crafters last Friday. Their Cubs were all over the ramp. Lots of planes for such a small facility. This is just one side.

    RPM loss

If that is a check valve it is designed to vent out. If you blew in it very well could have blown the lines off. Thus not related to your power loss.

    I got hired !

We would probably agree more than you think if we were talking in person. I was trained to skydive by guys that are current Red Bull skydivers, trained to get my ppl by their dads, threw many drouges, and my screen name is from the cross braced canopy I flew. Those guys are pros, and concerned...

    I got hired !

Just remember you are the only Profesional on the plane. Everybody else is there for fun. It puts the pilot into a bit of an unwanted babysitter position. Not good. It's your ratings and career on the line not theirs. I watched a jump pilot quit because of that once. Good for him...

Fuel Injection Servo Friction, Effort to Move?

Just a follow up on this... I had my A&P take off the servo. I brought it over to Precision Airmotive. It is just a couple hangars over. He took it into the back room and had it back to me in 20 minutes. No charge, (Thank you!). He said he took apart the mixture section, lapped and lubed it...

Will your heirs even want your logbooks?

I was gifted a friends father in law's log book. It has flights from NAS Pensacola in 1945. SNJ4, PBY-5-B a CNT (?) and a couple other planes are in it. His other log books are still with the Lexington at the bottom of the Coral Sea :) It is a cool piece of history.

So, homebuilders...who are we and where do we stand?

Very nice. That is such a simple efficient way to build a wing.

So, homebuilders...who are we and where do we stand?

Is that a Fisher design? Once upon a time I rebuilt and flew an FP 303. Fun project and plane.

    Finding Downwind Struggle/Sweat

Yes...:) I'm not sure what you are saying exactly. But if coming in to an unknown airport it is sometimes difficult to orient myself to the runway. Can't see it, which way do I land? Where do I put myself for the 45 or downwind? etc. The wet compass is a bit useless to me, so I use the...
