Thanks guys. This is what I was thinking. I’m going to meet with both the companies and instructors and see what I think. If the sim is mandatory or if they have minimum requirements, I may look elsewhere. If they have it there just as a supplement, I don’t see it as a disadvantage.

Considering a PPL in the Charleston, SC area, and there are least 2 Flight Schools that advertise a full motion simulator as a plus for their school. Price for an hour on the simulator runs $50-$70 per hour, compared to $140/hour on a number of 1970"s era 172's with GNS430 or similar GPS. I...
