Flew 2 hours in IMC one time. First half was night. Wasn’t so bad as I had another senior pilot with me and was actually a smooth ride. Then one time just trying to climb out of IMC hit some patches and bumps that had me disoriented for a bit. Scared the hell out of me. Bottom line - every time...

Exactly - even with high prices there’d are only so few of these left and no real viable option for new trainers that are not 400 k. Give it another 10 years and most of these planes will be gone

I’m contemplating selling current plane for a plane thats a better fit formy mission profile. Love my plane keep trying to come up with creative ideas and reasons to keep it.

So as long as I have one G5 I can still run the AP ? I was looking at updating my 530 to the 550. So the AP will run on the G5/550 combo?

I am looking at doing a panel upgrade and really like what the Dynon Panel Offers. However the drawback is lack of certified AP. I current have dual G5 and a STEC AP. From what I understand is the AP will still work by it would read from the GPS navigator not the panel. Trying to understand...
