    Has Congress come up with a plan to keep this from happening again? Perhaps a seven light redundant system, with mandatory 150 hour pilot training on how to tell if the lights are ON or OFF?

    Visited just last month in conjunction with an FAA runway safety meeting. I hadn't been in a control tower since the '90s. I thought it worthwhile as you can surely gain some insights on the controller's perspective. Rod

    Wow, are you sure these guys aren't from Oklahoma? Seriously, that kind of innovation and determination speaks well for them. With no-one there to poo-poo them down, these guys just may be leading the pack before too much longer. :eek:
