Single Engine down in Nashville - KJWN

Though I've flown the PA32R series, its been awhile. I can't recall how well lit the fuel selector is at night. There is no indication, nor will we probably ever know with certainty, if the lever was not touched during the last portion of the flight or if it was operated prior to landing...

Single Engine down in Nashville - KJWN

Maybe because of the aircraft/engine damage left side vs right?

Tennessee Senate passes bill outlawing Chemtrails

I think it’s fair to say in the event of a nuclear detonation all the insurance companies customers (if alive) would have claims to infinity and the insurer wouldn’t survive. Same goes for earthquake damage in areas it’s not expected.

Tennessee Senate passes bill outlawing Chemtrails

So, the conspiracy politicians will link to jet contrails too. Sounds about right. But, the legislation, as crazy as it is, focuses on other things, not contrails. The connection will probably stick for ever.

Tennessee Senate passes bill outlawing Chemtrails

Someone gets it. Leave it to pilots to connect this unnecessary legislation to the contrail conspiracy.

Cessna down after stalling on take off

Don’t recognize the accident as described. I’ve had posts or reels disappear when trying to return to them so I’ve learned it’s best to use whatever feature is offered to remember the link. With reels it’s more challenging.

Southern Living: Bug Proofing a Home

It’s entertaining when someone sees a “roach” and then it departs the ground and flys the Palmetto One departure.

Southern Living: Bug Proofing a Home

No air conditioning AND no window? This is known as a sauna in S FL. You will die in June, if not earlier. You need a new place to live, or you need to knock a hole in the wall and install an AC very soon.

Does the Citation ISP (CE501) require a Single Pilot Exemption/Waiver?

I’m not certain Canada does, but I recall this being repeatedly discussed over the years. Regarding OP’s explanation, I like it. But, it needs to meet the FAA legal interpretation. They issued the following two letters in the past. The first letter addresses the practical test and endorsement...

Garmin G5 Yellow Heading & Warranty Saga (retitled)

What comes to mind when I consider the timing of the issue is that it’s related to temperature changes, or to a lesser extent, pressure changes. I’m still with the others that new eyes need to look at your installation.

Single Engine down in Nashville - KJWN

It sounds like he was on a visual approach to the airport (landing south), didn’t see it well enough to continue descending while hunting for it, then AFTER overflying it, had the engine quit/fail.

Cold Start Issues, Loss of EGT

Nice to see a problem described and solution found all within one thread. And, it’s an FAA approved product. Is this the only solution for the long-term or are there other methods or actions to prevent the issue?

Garmin G5 Yellow Heading & Warranty Saga (retitled)

I missed the fact that one of the G5’s has most of the issues, no matter where it goes. Of course, I would want Garmin or a shop to try a loaner in your airplane or simply swap a defective unit. If you send it out to Garmin and they test it as good, you can get it back and keep troubleshooting...

PA32R-301 Saratoga - CFI needed NW Florida PNS JKA CEW

How “current” must the CFI be on make/model, or does it matter?

Garmin G5 Yellow Heading & Warranty Saga (retitled)

I don’t recall the installation process, but can your G5 be pulled and swapped with another G5 equipped airplane at your home field to confirm it works properly and that you are chasing an airplane/install issue rather than a lemon G5?

    Plane crash on FL freeway

Flying that airplane in those final moments was about energy management. I’m willing to say they didn’t have much if any extra airspeed to play with. The PF probably did as best as he could under the circumstances and if he could have flared to arrest the sink rate without making the touchdown...

    Plane crash on FL freeway

This thread became as drama filled as the nightly news on a major network. Or a high school scuffle because someone “dissed” another. Regarding the Pro Card. I wouldn’t use that to prove one’s knowledge or skill level, because it’s a poorly implemented trophy. Most likely this will be an...
