Need recommendation for good GA airport near Greensboro NC

I accepted a temporary (2 to 3 years) assigment near Greensboro. It's a 7.5 hour drive from my home, but a little over 2 hour flight. I need a good GA airport hopefully with a good flying community/EAA chapter. Anybody live/familiar with that area?

Catching a ride in San Diego

I know it's late notice, but I'm in San Diego for work and just got the day off tomorrow. Thought about renting but not sure I want to deal with this complicated air space in a plane I'm not familiar with. Anybody interested in splitting the costs on a sight seeing flight around the area?

(NA) Who knows about 3D printing?

I bought a Prusa mini a couple of years ago to get started in printing. Just recently spent the money to buy the new Bambulabs X1 Carbon with the AMS. It works so well it's ridiculous. Multi color prints are a breeze, the fault detection works great. Had a storm Sunday night that knocked...

the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

Finally got our straight tail 172 done today. Added a Garmin 430, a glideslope indicator, and a PS engineering audio panel. Also added red post lights for every instrument so I can see at night now. Can't say enough good things about the audio panel, that thing sounds amazing. Before and...

Need a recommendation for a Florida airport

Wanting to fly to Jacksonville, Florida this year and looking for a place to land and park the plane. Obviously not going to take my straight tail to KJAX, so which is the best GA airport around there to land and leave my plane for a few days?

Any chance anyone has a drawing or cad file for

the instrument panel on a 1956 172? The part # is 0513004-11. We're going to install a 430 and figure this is a good time to sort out that old shotgun panel. I'd like to get the dimensions on that panel so i can start trying to lay out a new one in cad. Thanks in advance if anyone does.

    Taylorcraft down California

I think it was in the comments on the video itself. Someone was speculating it was a RC crash he filmed. (It obviously isnt)

If this guy doesn't get his ticket pulled, then the FAA should just close their doors.

Landed on grass for the first time today. Flew up to Red Stewart Field (4OI) to do it. Was sort of anticlimatic, not near as rough as I had expected.
