Do you care about the MCDBA?

Certifications are useful with consulting companies. Anyone who has downsized and is looking to deploy or upgrade to SQL Server 2008 will hire consultants and will usually require Certified MCDBAs to be onsite. If it doesn't cost you, go for it.

Panorama is an excellent FBO. Easy to find from the road as well.

    December 16, 1941

Cool pictures. I work 7 blocks from where your Great grandfather worked and live about 1/4 mile from his home! I was wondering why he would keep the plane in Long Island as opposed to the Westchester airfield in Armonk (only 5 miles away, established in 1922) but I checked and it was only a...

Hey Old Guys! How do you manage glasses in the cockpit

Same problem. i tried the progressive, didn't like them. I just have a pair of reading glasses on a cord around my neck, keep them on the tip of my nose while flying, but I take them off when landing (i bounced a couple of times with them on, screwed up my perception)

    360 on Downwind

That's Nancy, she's great. I don't think she's taking lessons anymore though. HPN is a pain with those 360s, but I prefer them to the extended downwinds to almost the long Island sound! I really don't like doing pattern work there anymore unless I get there before 8am, it's just too busy.

    Andre the Giant Day

Andre the Giant came into a bar I worked in on 42nd St in NYC around 1982. He was the biggest human i've ever seen. A mug of beer was like a shot glass in his hand. We had a dinner special: Roast beef with mashed potatoes and vegetables, $3.99; he had 10 dinners!:cheerswine:

A Really Hard One To Deal With

Also, talking about generous, the time he gave me a ground lesson he brought me to the main hangar and showed me under the hoods of all the planes being worked on, brought me to the computer room and went over all the ways to get weather, basically gave me a 2.5 hr lesson and when I got the...

A Really Hard One To Deal With

Oh man, sorry to hear about Tom. I had noticed he wasn't hanging around Panorama the past few months. I took a ground lesson with him once when my regular instructor was out (he told me we'd never go flying together in a 172, he was about 260, me 300lbs), since then every time I saw him he would...
