    GI-275 Question

There is another new cool thing about the GI 275 - it is now possible to transfer database updates bidirectionally between the GTX 375 or GPS 175 using the WiFi interface. You no longer need a Flightstream 510 for this - as of a software update a month or so ago!

    Century III Autopilots

Does anyone know whether the roll servos for the Century III AP will work with the Century 21 AP? I have a Dakota and recently lost roll servo function so I'm looking for a replacement part. 1C363-1-430R is the servo for the Century III (I believe) and also the AutoControl IIIB (which I think...

    Panel lights problem

Not Necro anymore! I realized that on my Dakota, one rheostat controls the radio lights and Nav lights, one of them controls the instrument lights. Only the instrument light system appears to be acting strange. I'm going to test it again, but I think the Nav lights may still work.

    Panel lights problem

My Piper Dakota suddenly developed a problem with its panel lights and running lights. When I switch on the dimmer, the running lights would normally come on, but today they did not. When I advanced the dimmer to full bright, the circuit breaker popped. Something is amiss that wasn't wrong...

    Any Garmin GDL 39 Users?

I ended up getting a GDL-50 as well - much more robust and quick locking GPS! Also, Bluetooth works at a longer range and autoconnects more reliably. Battery life is about 2x better (at least.) I still like the GDL-39 as a backup, and ended up getting a new battery for it (the old one...

    Any Garmin GDL 39 Users?

I had the same antenna issue - I also got a new antenna and it worked again. I dissected the antenna and didn't find a problem either. Another part of this thread described the periodic loss of GPS signals (little yellow triangle coming up on the Connex indicator periodically.) I'm not sure...

    DC One-X vs A20

I actually had this happen when I first received the One-X - the headset band broke when I was first adjusting it! DC was really great about this, and I realized that it simply fit differently from my older DC H10-40s. With full extension of the headband, and the compliant earphone seals, it's...

    Hangar vs Tie Down

I just moved "indoors" to a T-hangar at Albany International Airport - I was formerly a tie-down tenant in the same area. We just parked the plane in our new hangar for the first time, and it was a lot more difficult than I expected to push it backwards into the hanger (as a single person). I...

    Any Garmin GDL 39 Users?

--- I had to replace the antenna on my GDL-39 a year or so ago. It was only receiving very local traffic and the FIS-B was spotty. I think this happened as a result of the antenna being folded and unfolded/rotated a lot. The new antenna (easy swap) fixed the problem. I dissected the old one...

    GDL-82 vs SkyBeacon

I installed a GDL-82 last year on my 1984 Piper Dakota, and it's worked flawlessly with a Garmin 327 transponder. I use a GDL-39 and Garmin Pilot for ADSB-In, and the combination works very well.

Adjusting Century 21 Autopilot to make heading align with HDG bug

I tried making adjustments to the AP in smooth air, and it didn't seem to change anything, and the action of the AP was erratic. I'm going to have the AP unit sent to Autopilots Central for diagnostics.

Adjusting Century 21 Autopilot to make heading align with HDG bug

What size screwdriver should I plan to use to make these adjustments? Thanks! Curt B.
