    Typical time for tailwheel rating

I did mine in an hour, and then had two students who learned to fly in taildraggers. My logbook has 1 hr dual received and 65 hours dual given. That's all the taildragger time I have.

So, Is Busting Class "B" Airspace Really That Big Of A Deal?

I know of a local Cirrus driver who took off out of a satellite Houston airport last March and entered B before picking up her IFR clearance, the FAA has been in "conversations" with her about it since, and last I heard they still haven't resolved this incident.

    150 and IFR

I did my entire instrument rating in a IFR certified C152. Nothing beats 4 hour cross country trips entirely hand flown in the soup because you couldn't climb above the cloud layer.

    Steam locomotive rail tracks

I imagine said derailed car would also do a number on the ties and even railbed (but still beats taking out a bridge support)

    Barometric pressure records?

31.01 going into MKC today. Approach advised everyone to set their altimeters to 31.00 until on a published segment of an approach and then if you could, go to local altimeter setting. If you couldn't, you were actually higher than indicated so at least you were giving yourself extra cushion...

    Barometric pressure records?

I had a flight last week in LNK around 30.81 I think. Tristan could verify she was my FO that day. I knew something was up before we even got ATIS because the altimeters were about 1000 feet lower than field elevation during preflight checks.

Keeping in touch with your instructor?

I keep in touch with my original CFI. I would say that more than half my students have been in touch with me after they got their certificates/ratings. Most of the time it is aviation related questions they have or a flight review. Sometimes it is an offer to stop by the hangar for a cold one...

What is your CFI's weather philosophy for lessons?

For PP students, general guidelines of winds need to be <= 25 kts and VFR conditions for dual. Not set in stone. I've done lessons in stronger winds and with SVFR.
