    Seatbelts are covered under TSO-C114. They should be listed as a life limited item in Chapter 4 of your AMM. For instance, in our Columbia 400, they need to be replaced every 3000 hours or 10 years.

    Have a Columbia 400 with a nose wheel shimmy. It is very light below 20kts and increases to moderate between 25 and 28kts. After 30kts it stops. Tire is balanced, bearings are good, strut is serviced and I'm out of ideas on what to do to stop this shimmy. Any thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks!

    I'm using our company plane, so I'll have to pay for fuel and the instructor. It's going to be a little steep burning 40/hr on takeoff, but I figured I would learn in our plane since it is the one I'll be flying afterwards.

    Does this dent in my wing need to be repaired?

    If you do have to repair it, and the repair requires the removal of the TKS panel, you will also need a new TKS panel. Once removed the panel cannot be reused as the panels sustain damage during the removal process.
