    Single Mom focused on Piloting

+1 for Pat Metheny. So many great guitarists in different genres. But no one gets me into the headspace that Pat does. For the OP: I agree with others who recommended flying more often. I started training at GJT in 2008 and usually flew once a week. Progress was slow, but I made it to first...

    No competition at GJT

I was in Grand Junction when regular unleaded gasoline went over $4/gal. (2008?) That was one time I was grateful to live in a relatively compact community.

    No competition at GJT

Thanks for the reality check, everyone. I'm still hopeful that I'll find some kind of unadvertised partnership opportunity. I had given up on flying for years, but a ride in a CAF Stinson AT-19 reminded me how important it once was to me.

When the school closed, I followed my CFI to the only remaining school at GJT, Colorado Flight Center. I got as far as my first solo (+ a few more...

    Headset needed

OP here. Heh-heh. Don't worry, I haven't been scared off. In fact, you've all been very helpful, which is one of the things I love about the GA community. Someone even offered me a free pair, which was far more than I hoped for. I'm very protective of my hearing and wouldn't wear a headset that...

    Headset needed

I've just started my private pilot training and would like to buy my own headset to keep my rental expenses down. It doesn't have to be pretty or noise-cancelling, as long as it works. If anyone wants to unload their old headset, please let me know. Cheers, -Brian* 1.6 hrs logged! Woo-hoo!
