I've been to 2I3 a few times but this will be my first fly-in with this esteemed group. I made plans a couple of years ago but had to bail out because of something else (?) that came up. The only real expectations I have were formed by a 310 Pilot video I watched on YouTube some years ago!

Just noticed that the plane I saw is *not* the same as the OP flew! I was certain the N-numbers matched, but now I see that they differ by 1 ... guess I'm just not good with numbers!

I'm the proud proprietor of a Lexmark MC2535 color laser "all-in-one" (printer, scanner, copier, fax) which I use (and like) quite a bit. To be clear, I'm biased as I was on the development team for its predecessor product before retiring from Lexmark 14 years ago.

I'm amazed by the number of older (80+) men I've met who fly in by themselves to attend Airventure. An 83 year-old guy camped next to us in Fond du Lac this year who arrived in a Wittman tailwind that he built from scratch.

FWIW... the Canadian couple camping next to us at FLD introduced us to a guy named Alan who drove us up to Oshkosh and brought us back for $30 each way.

I can verify this... there were spaces in the S40 the whole time we were there last year (Monday AM - Friday AM). We landed at KOSH on Monday about 11:00 CDT. There was very little traffic as we were flying in, and while the ATIS was announcing either the Endeavor Bridge or Puckaway Lake...

I've flown in to I19 several times and have arranged for Enterprise (a couple miles away) to have a rental car waiting. The people at the FBO (Mac Air) are super nice.
