I'm on an iPad 5 mini and it runs Garmin Pilot flawlessly. I'm sure the current 6 is probably a little better. If I were in the market for an iPad to run Pilot or Foreflight, I'd grab one now instead of waiting.

I have certified G5s in my 172. To download the STC, you first have to enter the code from the Letter of Authority and then print that letter for your log book. The difference between the 2 units is probably around 1 AMU and quite honestly, for that amount, I wouldn't chance the paperwork ****...

I just redid my panel and used nulites on 4 of the 6 pack gauges (the other 2 are G5's). I also did a new glareshield and a strip of led lights installed underneath that. This setup beats the old overhead red light on my 172 hands down.

When you use the cord on the dead battery Tangos, you lose the ANR, but as you said, you still have coms. I'm looking for a sit of Tangos myself.

My panel is undergoing an update and I want to fix up my tired looking yokes. I know that I can get them powder coated but I kind of like cerakote which is, in my opinion a little better process. What have you guys done?
