    Hot or Not?

I consider Martha Stewart to be similar to someone like Reba McEntire in that she is an incredible business woman. She knows how to market herself and has been extremely successful as a result. Like her or not, you can't argue that.

(NA) Propane cook top versus natural gas

That is true. RVs and travel trailers use propane. The gas detector is mounted just a couple of inches above the floor.

    Florida Chainsaw Massacre

General here also. Planned on getting an HF radio, but never did. Some days I have to think for a moment to remember my call sign.

    You know you’re getting old….

Where I was living in '97, a new convenience store/gas station opened up 3 or 4 blocks away called Smoker's Express (not PC today). They sold gas for $0.799 for the first several months. I was driving a stick shift Saturn at the time getting 40 mpg highway. Life was good.

The end of an era: Aricebo will be demolished.

I don't recall ever hearing about it! But then again, I've never been very interested in space, other than as it pertains to creation.

    We'll do early voting.

    Quicken Alternative

Quicken is forcing me into an annual subscription if I want to keep downloading transactions. I think I'm going to decline that.

    [NA]residential wire sizing Q [NA]

It's done all the time, and I've done it myself. But you are right in that it is better to have a separate 120-volt line.

    Impending, possible meat shortages

And I think the BK version is helped by their open flame imparting a smokiness to it. I don't think it would taste as good coming from a restaurant with a flat grill.

    Impending, possible meat shortages

Based on my very limited experience, I think they did a pretty good job with the Impossible Burger. However, the Beyond Burger brand leaves a lot to be desired, IMO. It's sorely lacking in something.

    Impending, possible meat shortages

Cute little bugger. I love to watch squirrels play. I think they are very entertaining.

    Impending, possible meat shortages

I'm one, and I still thought that was funny.

I flew my plane over 400 parked airplanes in the desert (VIDEO)

What an awesome video. But it was very surreal, for sure. I hope we never see anything like that again after this is over!

Maybe it’s permanent. Grounding that is.

That can make a big difference. I have a niece who was born in Charleston, SC. She was born without a sternum. This gives no protection to the heart, and death is likely within just a few days without surgery. At that time (2001), there were only something like 75 documented cases of that defect...

    Toilet talk [rant]

I've had days like that, when a simple repair turns into a multiple-hours ordeal.

Remembering my colonoscopy thread on PoA

That would have been a good Fear Factor challenge.

    Jury Duty

I have only been called once, maybe three years ago, and I was selected. The trial lasted about a day and a half. Then when it was time for deliberation, the jury selected me as Foreman. I always thought I didn't want to do it, but it was educational and I enjoyed it. But once was enough.

    Torrance emerg landing

I imagine that was a pretty serious pucker factor. Glad everyone is OK.
