Annual expenses as a plane owner

Doing the quick and dirty math my Bonanza, all in, runs about 20k per year to fly 150 hours. That is hangar, insurance, annual and maintenance (zero labor cost), and fuel. My insurance is as cheap as it can be and I live in a rural area. There was a point in time when I was adding $125 per...

6Y9 Flyin Labor Day Weekend 2020

The Bonanza does very well at 6Y9. Last year I took off 300 pounds under gross weight with plenty of room to spare. 260hp H model.

    Anyone messed themselves in annual?

I feel the same way. I do all my own wrenching with my A&P buddy looking over my shoulder and signing off the logs. I can't stop. My plane is 62 years old and while in good shape, really needed this process done to rectify all the cut corners and money saving processes throughout the years...

    KMSN - breakfast - 08 DEC

I'll be out of town unfortunately. Off topic, there doesn't seem to be a regional forum to post these types of meetups, or is there? I would like to plan an event at Aero Lake Estates (30IS) for all to enjoy. The airport owner/my buddy George has a really nice heated hanger for relaxing and...

    Adding sensors to JPI EDM-830

If you are mechanically inclined and have a friend that is an A&P, install cost is zero dollars. Perhaps a case of beer or a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the area? People, get out and learn a thing or two about your aircraft. Seems the Aviation industry is starting to suffer in...
