No need for marker beacons. I had the PMA8000G installed a year ago, and mistakenly ordered the one with marker beacons. Still trying to find an approach that uses them around here (BOS). I found one up in NH, but notam said it was inop. The three colored lights make my panel look more complex...

Your AI should not read level in flight. There is always some pitch up, unless you’re descending. You are only fooling yourself when you set the AI to “level flight attitude”. Also - leveling screws, etc at for maintenance - weighing the aircraft etc.

Do you have a Garmin audio panel? I don’t get audio alerts either - I don’t have a Garmin audio panel. I wonder if that has anything to do with.

Like anything, it’s only worth what someone will pay. I think many of the abandoned planes we see are the result of sellers being too stubborn to understand this. Put it on the market, give it some time to gauge interest, sell it for what you can get and move on.

I had my A/P do the pre buy. When I had a good idea of condition, we renegotiated the price and I turned it into an annual inspection, since it was due in another month or so.

The one I took was 14 pages of numbers imbedded in colored dots (Ishihara, I think). I only got 3-4 correct. Red-Green deficiency. Then failed another test at the FSCDO, then finally passed using light guns. Good luck!

Nothing in NorCal, but we landed at SWF a few weeks ago, and the tower controller seemed a bit impatient with us - he couldn't hear a transmission (probably stepped on), and seemed a bit short with us. When we were getting ready to depart, I very politely asked him if he could get us a squawk...
