Accelerated PPL Training - References Needed

FYI Tailwheels had a fatal crash before they went out of business. So did they just reopen under a new name? http://www.kathrynsreport.com/2017/05/cessna-150m-n714dw-incident-occurred.html...

Accelerated PPL Training - References Needed

How expensive? What stuff might I need besides headset, E6-B, CX-3, plotter, Jeppesen student pilot kit, kneeboard(s), iPad with ForeFlight. Obviously I will need current sectional charts but what else am I missing?

Accelerated PPL Training - References Needed

Tailwheels is out of business! I think Kingsky maybe their new name? https://www.yelp.com/biz/tailwheels-etc-lakeland I called Kingsky, they seemed very accommodating and seem to have very good reviews. I am very likely going to try it there. I am a bit skeptical but my plan is to go there and...

Accelerated PPL Training - References Needed

VSC, I am very interested in Kingsky as well. The web site paints a nice picture with housing and all. Have you found anyone with personal experience with them using their accelerated program?

    ASA, King, Sporty's or Gleim?

No mention of Dauntless? I used Dauntless Ground School, for my written PPL, and missed one question (98). I also purchased Sporty's learn to fly and concur with dmspilot boring monotone videos, the information is there but very boring. Tried the sample vids from the King's, almost bought theirs...

    Blood in Eye (subconjunctival hemorrhage)

That is very similar to mine. Went to the eye Doc and he asked me a bunch of questions about recent activity. His conclusion that is was due to long periods of heavy eye strain.

    Blood in Eye (subconjunctival hemorrhage)

Going tonight after work, everything I read its "likely" not a big deal, but going to err to caution.

    Blood in Eye (subconjunctival hemorrhage)

I know it likely is not related, but I flew on Friday and again On Sunday, about an hour each day, highest altitude was about 3000' AGL. This morning I woke up with the white part of my left eye red and very bloodshot to say the least. I do not have any conditions IE hypertension, Anemia...

    Bose A20 or Lighspeed Tango

Thanks all, the A20 are coming in Monday of course I am flying the day before. Currently I use the ASA flight school set which suck and cut out all the time. I think I will stick with the A20, supposedly I can test/use them for 60 days anyway and return if not happy.

    Bose A20 or Lighspeed Tango

I recently purchased the Bose A20 headset, came with bonus wireless blue tooth speaker. I went high end because I suffer from noise induced hearing loss. I have not received them yet, in the mail so to speak. Now I am having second thoughts since I came across the Lightspeed Tango Wireless...

    Low Air pressure in tire

I have just as much information about his abilities as he has about mine. And since nothing but smart mouth sarcasm comes out I feel the need to return it in kind. That's all, he could be a very competent pilot or he could be a complete idiot. But if he flies with the same "ignorance" and...

    Low Air pressure in tire

It wasn't meant as an accusation. Not sure why you Salty insist on posting, you never have anything worth while positive or constructive to contribute. Just useless dribble, do you have a deep seeded need to validate yourself?

    Low Air pressure in tire

Unfortunately for the safety of the GA community and the general public, they "gave" you one. Are you really in FL? Darn was going to retire their, wont feel safe flying down there now.

    Low Air pressure in tire

I could see both sides, but this is plane that flies everyday and had flown earlier that day. The tire was not slightly low it was nearly flat it had less than 5 psi. So it lost a whole lot of air in a very short time. And differences aside the cause of the leak should have be determined and...

    Low Air pressure in tire

Well I guess you are the type that would fly a plane with issues and not care about your safety or the safety of others. The air did not vacate the tire just because. But I guess you can't fix stupid! Is there anything in ADM about flying a defective plane? Im sure opinions will vary but I still...

    Low Air pressure in tire

Early in my flight training, while pre flight checking the plane I noticed one of the tires was very low on air. I informed my now ex instructor, who added some air to it and shrugged it off. We flew that day with no issues. As a new student at the time I just put faith in his judgment. I look...

    Flight Schools in NW Florida?

Tailwheels etc is tits up, the new owners have an poor reputation and seam to cater to foreign students similar to the former Dean Aviation. I called the new place, and immediately got a bad feeling, he even told me they had bad reviews on the net, but they would have me certificated in a week...
